Beam Dream vs SORA Sleep Blend: An Honest Comparison
Same idea, same core ingredients, two clear differences: how much melatonin is in it, and what it costs you every night.

Disclosure: this page is published by SORA Cares, which makes and sells one of the two products compared here. It isn't an independent review. Beam figures are taken from shopbeam.com in September 2026, and the rows Beam wins are left in.

Side by side, line by line
The last row goes to Beam, and it isn't close. Beam figures from shopbeam.com, September 2026. Beam runs promotional pricing periodically, so check their current offer.
Why the rows come out that way
“What does it actually cost me per night?”
Both boxes hold 30 servings, so this one is a clean comparison. On subscription, SORA is $38.95 a month, which is $1.30 a night. Beam Dream lists at $49.99 on subscription, which is $1.67 a night.
One thing to check before you decide on price: Beam runs promotions that bring their figure down, sometimes well below list. Our $38.95 isn't a promotion, it's the subscription price, but if they're running an offer the day you buy, compare against that and not against their list.
“I wake up feeling heavy”
There are three positions you can take on melatonin, and the market has taken all three. Some products leave it out entirely. Most use 3mg or more. We chose the middle.
More melatonin isn't more effective in a straight line, and the grogginess some people report the morning after is commonly associated with higher doses. If you've tried a 3mg, 5mg or 10mg product and disliked how you felt at 7am, the dose is the first thing worth changing before you give up on the category.
The other side of that: if 3mg works well for you and you wake up fine, there's no reason to switch. Lower isn't better in the abstract, it's better for people who don't get on with higher doses.
“I don't want hot chocolate every night”
Beam Dream is a bedtime cocoa, and that's central to what it is. Plenty of people love it for exactly that reason.
SORA is fruit: blueberry, wild strawberry, raspberry lemonade, or a variety pack with all three. It mixes into cold water rather than warm milk, which some people find easier to keep up in summer.
This is preference, not quality. If cocoa is what makes you want to do it every night, do that.
What's in ours, in full
Per 9g sachet: 2500mg glycine, 300mg L-theanine, 300mg reishi mushroom extract, 200mg magnesium glycinate, 150mg apigenin, 1mg melatonin. Vegan, gluten free, no added sugar, made in a GMP certified facility and third-party tested.
One sachet in 200ml of water, 30 to 60 minutes before bed. 30 sachets per box.
Where Beam beats us, plainly
Over eleven thousand published reviews. We launched this month. You can read years of other people's experience with Dream before you spend anything, and you can't do that with us yet. That's a real reason to choose them and we're not going to talk around it.
A longer track record. Beam has been selling this product for years and has the operational history to match.
The cocoa is genuinely well liked. If you want a warm drink as part of winding down, that's their format and not ours.
Which one is for you
SORA Sleep Blend suits someone who wants the lowest melatonin dose they can get in a formula like this, prefers a fruit drink to cocoa, and wants the lower cost per night. $1.30 a night on subscription, cancel any time.
Beam Dream suits someone who wants a warm cocoa ritual, is comfortable with 3mg of melatonin, and would rather buy from a brand with thousands of reviews behind it.
